+ Post a list of your five favorite acts/kinks to read about. Check out this list if you need some inspiration. At the bottom of your post, add what fandoms/pairings you're interested in.
+ Read other people's lists; the master list of lists is here.
+ Post comment-fic based off of other people's interests.

1. Outsider POV. Not necessarily voyeurism, although it could have that element. Mostly I just like it when some third character ponders/notices stuff about the main pairing, maybe that they're together or maybe that they should be, maybe why they make sense or that they don't.
2. Non-canonical universes. What if xyz had happened this way instead of that way, what if they were librarians, what if time travel, what if the TARDIS or some wizards suddenly showed up. I guess it's kind of a cheat to lump AUs and crossovers in like that together, but I love anything that takes them out of normal canon in whatever way and I'm really not that picky about it.
3. Frottage. Clothes on, clothes off, clothes anywhere in between, dirty-desperate or slow-romantic, doesn't matter as long as it's face to face and grind-y.
4. Competency. Maybe they're a BAMF in a fight, maybe they're great at piano or making pizza. I love it when a character gets to have their mad skills appreciated, especially if said skills are a turn-on for someone else.
5. Friends-to-lovers. That point in a comfortable awesome practically-married friendship where the MFEO finally gets acknowledged.

Fandoms/pairings
Supernatural: Dean/Castiel, Sam/Dean, Castiel/Balthazar (RPF preferably in AUs only or French Mistake-type universes - Jensen/Misha, Jared/Jensen), whatever threesomes. ETA: OH, AND DEAN/JIMMY NOVAK. YEP.
The Walking Dead: Daryl/Glenn
CSI: Nick/Greg
Downton Abbey: Thomas/Branson
Crossovers: Anyone from the above fandoms mix'n'matched with anyone from another. This also applies to Ianto Jones, Simon Tam, and Xander Harris.

Post the first sentence (or three) from every WIP you're currently working on, even if it's very short. Then invite people to ask questions about your WIPs. With any luck, the motivation to take that WIP one step closer to completion will appear as if by magic!

I've seen a few people doing this thing so I figured why not, since I spawn snippety beginnings like some bacteria propagate. These are just the ones that have a snowball's chance of getting finished and exist in generally-recognizable fandoms (i.e. I left out all the weird AU stuff from RP-land that the only giving-a-shit party has already read). One has bloated its way to nearly novel-length but the rest haven't got much to them. There's a couple for SPN, a couple for The Walking Dead, and a couple for The Hour. Two out of six are crossovers, because I'm me. XD look at my WIP-ness, hurrr )

Well. Floor's open, I guess. Yay, crickets.

RECS.

I really really meant to get over here and pimp my Yuletiede prezzies before the reveal, but Dean Winchester had other ideas. BUT. In an unprecedented display of EEE YAY, I got ALL my requests filled, in the form of awesome fics for Breaking Bad and The Hour (why have you not watched The Hour? You need to watch The Hour.) and a lovey Downton Abbey drabble with THOMAS. Which is completely amazing and I can't thank these writers enough. <3

*Breaking Bad: Saturday in the Sticks with Jesse
Walter Jr. has questions, and he's pretty sure Jesse has the answers.

*Downton Abbey: Some Truth
Make him feel, if not like a good man, at least a better one.

*The Hour: Let Nothing You Dismay
Christmas Eve, 1965: We interrupt your scheduled programming to bring you this breaking news.
The threat of a rapidly spreading epidemic has the entire staff of The Hour spending a holiday in unexpected quarantine.

AND ALSO FIC.

Annnnnd as probably (or definitely if your name is Eggy) suspected from the suprise guest appearance by Pingu and the fact that I make fun of Morrissey and use the 'hang the DJ' line from 'Panic,' by anyone who read it, what I wrote was How to Plan Your Funeral. In which we rejoin Dan Ashcroft in 2011, Jones is not my!Jones, and everyone is kind of a dick.

It was actually really kind of fun to write because part of the request was for some subversion of fanon!Jones tropes, and after I got done cackling at the irony of a request including that going to me of all people, and after I got done nearly chickening out and trying to write Mean Girls femslash instead, it was a good challenge and I haven't written them in eons and I kind of missed them as it turns out.
