Warnings: This is seriously pretty tame angst-wise, but references to offscreen drug abuse and mental illness/institutionalization for minor characters. (Less seriously, also gross liberties with the geography of Bloomington, Indiana and environs. General insouciant handwaving of the ins and outs of gay clubs and academia, because obviously the fact that I've been clubbing a few times and know some professors makes me a total authority.)
Summary: Castiel has a nice predictable structured life teaching high school, even if he happens to be overqualified for it. Then this guy moves in around the corner and literally knocks him on his ass.
Notes: the_reverand deserves a freaking medal for helping me pick through this and holding my hand and patting my head and punching my arm during my flails. So does a fairly large contingent of my flist because I kept bitching. <3 Still, anything that sucks is my fault and no one else's.
