Yeah, the way I like to read that scene is that the "will you miss me?"/"always" exchange is Jack kind of closing the book of Gwen Possibilities. I do like Gwen (most of the time), but the idea of Jack pining after her leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I also loved the Ianto/Rose/parallel Earth section - that is an intriguing idea and I'd love to see more !

Oh, no, don't encourage me! :P I have a ridiculous weakness for Ianto/Rose and a million and one bunnies I'm Resolutely Not Writing because I've already got too much other stuff going on. But probably someday.
